“Our job is to make sure that our clients, whether landlords or tenants, go into any deal with their eyes open and minimise the potential liabilities.” Michael Caton Senior Partner
A rack rent lease is no longer seen to be the asset it once was. The trend is now for shorter leases, but business tenants often fail to understand their potential liabilities when the lease comes to an end. Even if a tenant has occupied premises for only a few years, they could be liable for significant expenditure in relation to structural repairs. This leads to time-consuming discussion about early break clauses and schedules of conditions. Whether you’re considering acquiring a leasehold property, or disposing of one, it’s best to involve us from the outset.
Several members of our team have over twenty years’ experience of landlord and tenant issues. Our approach is hands on, sorting out the details and negotiating the best possible terms for our client. Our long term clients always involve us from the earliest stages in a new landlord and tenant agreement.
We act for commercial landlords and tenants in all aspects of leasehold law including
"The whole team was excellent, helping us through the whole process and providing a highly professional and flexible service every step of the way"
