“We have many year’s experience in both defending and prosecuting cases relating to health and safety and other areas of regulatory law. We aim to provide the best possible outcome for our clients, as quickly and cost effectively as possible.” David Thompson, Managing Partner
We have a robust defence practice representing individuals, companies, directors and senior managers charged with offences under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and other Health & Safety Regulations. We regularly appear in the Crown and Magistrates’ Court, at Inquests and at Public Inquiries. We have also represented clients facing prosecution by local authorities, the Department of Trading Standards, the Maritime and Coastguard Agency and the Maritime Accident Investigation Agency.
We also undertake a wide range of prosecution and enforcement work on behalf of the HSE and the Verderers of the New Forest. We are regularly involved in high profile cases in the Crown Court.
Our expertise is consistently recognised by independent research. One team member has been praised for her “extensive knowledge in the field of health and safety,” (
Chambers UK 2006). The team itself “
‘brings together the quality and qualities’ its clients require’ (
Chambers UK 2007).
