Moore Blatch apppoints new corporate and insolvency expert

Hampshire based solicitors Moore Blatch is celebrating the appointment of prominent corporate and insolvency specialist, Jasper Buxton.

Based at the firm’s Southampton office, Jasper has over five years corporate and insolvency experience and will focus primarily on building the firm’s financial re-structuring and non-contentious insolvency work.

Since training and qualifying with London heavyweight DLA Piper, Jasper has advised and assisted UK and global businesses struggling to operate in very difficult economic circumstances.

Re-locating to Southampton in 2010 to work for another regional practice, Jasper has a good understanding of the area and has acted on a number of large scale projects, including a multi-million pound restructuring of an insolvent property company. Helping to successfully conclude this complex deal allowed the organisation to continue operating and led to jobs and external business relationships being saved.

Looking to build relationships with insolvency practitioners and banks in the region, Jasper will help develop the firm’s existing reputation and client base for insolvency and financial restructuring work.

An influential and active member of the business community, Jasper is a member of R3 – the Association of Business Recovery Professionals and NARA – the Association of Property and Fixed Charge Receivers.

Living locally in the New Forest, Jasper enjoys sailing and has competed in a number of events including two cross channel races to Deauville and Cherbourg. Also a keen golfer, Jasper has taken advantage of courses in and around the area.
