Defending you in the courts and tribunals
Is an employee bringing a claim against the business in the employment tribunal?
This can be a very time consuming matter and the business still needs to be run at the same time as defending this case. Having a claim brought against you could have a damaging effect on your business’s reputation. We would be on hand to guide you every step of the way in order to ensure the process is followed correctly and everything possible is done to mitigate any damage which may be caused.
How can we assist to reduce the pressure?
We would constantly try and negotiate with the employee and their lawyers to reach a settlement. If a settlement is not reached we are able to present the employee with a last minute settlement just before the hearing. We will ensure that this offer provides the best chance of a settlement. If a last minute settlement is agreed the tribunal will often offer to record the terms of the settlement so that you have a record of the deal. We will be on hand to assist you through this process.
At the tribunal it is likely that you will have to speak to provide your evidence however we are able to take a large amount of the other stress away from you by completing all the case preparation, drafting the legal documentation, drafting witness statements and acting as your representative at the tribunal.
