What is the deadline for bringing a claim?

As a general rule, a claim can be brought against a professional up to six years after the negligence occurred.

However, calculating the exact day on which the time limit expires can be highly complex, so, wherever possible, we suggest taking a cautious approach. As part of our initial investigations we will identify whether six years has passed since the advice was given.

It is often possible to bring a claim after this date depending on the circumstances.
