Executive appointment and exit

Have you recently been appointed into an executive role? Or are you thinking of leaving?

If so, it is important that you are offered the correctly level of protection and understand the consequences should a breach of contract occur.

It is imperative you understand every clause in your contract and are offered the protection needed during your employment and after your employment. This can involve negotiation with the employer to ensure that you are receiving the best deal.

Whether you are being appointed to or exiting from an executive role, the employment team at Moore Blatch can assist you by providing tailored advice to your specific situation. Our broad range of knowledge also allows us to ensure that any claim you may have for unfair or wrongful dismissal is considered and followed through.

For more information please contact Katherine Maxwell or Naomi Greenwood.

Appointment

This can involve negotiation with the employer to ensure that you are receiving the best deal. Once you have signed and agreed a contract of employment you will be bound by the terms. Therefore it is important that you are happy with the terms upon starting employment. It is also important to ensure that you fully understand all of the terms prior to agreeing the contract to ensure that you are not in breach of any provisions.

Exit

It is important for you on exit that you understand your position and any covenants you might be bound to. Depending on the circumstances you may be able to negotiate to waiver some terms.
