Children

A hugely sensitive issue on the breakdown of any family relationship is the welfare of the children and how much time the children will spend with each parent.

The children's views are very much taken into account and the older they are the more weight their views will carry.

Those issues become more difficult if one of you wishes to move abroad with the child/children.

You cannot merely leave the country with your child without the consent of your partner or that of the court.

The law has moved fast in this area, referred to as “child relocation”. So whether you would like to move abroad with your children or are trying to keep your children in this country, we will give you clear, professional advice every step of the way.
