Court of protection
If you or a family member has suffered a major trauma, you may need someone to make decisions on your behalf or control and manage your financial affairs.
Similarly, the family of a child left severely injured will need help with the organisation of the child’s day-to-day needs such as care, education, living arrangements and general welfare.
It is important to us that you are able to make a well-informed decision about what steps to take in this situation.
Our specialist court of protection team takes the time to really understand what you need and the concerns you have before providing the options available to you. Once agreed, we can put in place the necessary arrangements and legal structures, often involving powers of attorney or deputyships, trusts and wills.
By working together, our court of protection and community care teams make sure that appropriate care arrangements are in place prior to discharge from hospital and that on-going care needs are being properly provided and catered for. This gives you peace of mind that you and your loved ones are receiving the very best support available.
If you would like to speak to one of our team, please contact the major trauma team on 0333 241 9995 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
