Funding your claim
How will my claim be funded?
Most personal injury claims are funded by Conditional Fee Agreements more commonly known as "No Win No Fee" agreements.
There are other possible methods of funding which we can discuss with you at the outset of your claim.
We will discuss all the possibilities with you before agreeing the most suitable method of funding. Remember we offer an initial free assessment of your claim.
What is a "No Win No Fee" agreement?
A No Win, No Fee agreement is an agreement between you and your solicitors. If your claim is unsuccessful we agree that we will not be paid for the work we have carried out.
At the start of your claim we will assess your claim and decide whether we are able to offer you a No Win, No Fee agreement.
If a No Win, No Fee agreement is suitable for you we will then consider whether it would be appropriate to take out a policy of insurance known as "After the Event" insurance on your behalf. The purpose of After the Event insurance is to protect you against the Defendant's legal costs in the event that your claim was to be unsuccessful.
If you win your claim the Defendant will pay the majority of your basic legal costs and disbursements. Disbursements are out of pocket expenses that we pay on your behalf, for example, medical report fees, fee for GP records etc.
If your claim is successful you will not be asked to pay anything until your claim has been concluded. You will be given regular updates about the costs being incurred and there are no hidden charges.
