Coke workers suffering from lung cancer

Historically a large part of the UK’s manufacturing industry was the production of coke fuel, with many works spreading throughout the country.

Coke fuel workers, during this time, were exposed to numerous toxic by-products, which have since been identified as a cause for a number of illnesses and conditions. Products such as dust, tar, oils and gases created during the production of coke fuel can cause the following:

  • Lung cancer

  • Emphysema

  • Chronic bronchitis

  • Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)

  • Chronic obstructive airways disease (COAD)

  • Skin cancer

If you have fallen ill as a result of working with coke fuel, you could be entitled to compensation. Reaching a favourable outcome is of the utmost importance to our personal injury team. We utilise a wealth of knowledge, skills and resources to take an assertive stance in advocating for your best interests.
