Leading law firm Moore Blatch, which has offices in Hampshire, Richmond and the City of London, has received outstanding recommendation across its services in Legal 500, the leading independent guide to the legal profession.
After assessing law firms and lawyers throughout the country, the latest Legal 500 published its results this week, providing a definitive reference to the very best practitioners.
In the company commercial sector, Moore Blatch partners Roger Bailey and Peter Jeffery were recognised for their expertise and rated highly after a particularly busy year for the department, with the team working with notable clients including; Framefair and Haystack Dryers.
The commercial property team was named ‘top of the tree for land development work’, after acting for a number of regional and national house builders, including Barratt Homes and Churchill Retirement.
Paul Whitaker’s commercial litigation team was also commended for its work, with Claire Haverfield and Mark Osgood being noted for their professional negligence expertise. The team successfully concluded high-value disputes on behalf of Churchill Retirement and Commercial First Mortgages.
The family team, headed by Debra Emery and solicitor Katy Barber received a special mention, being described as ‘very focused - and if litigation occurs, they are a formidable force’.
Partner and head of land development Martin Duck was commended for his hard work on behalf of clients with the guide confirming that he ‘works to tight deadlines and thrives under pressure’. Charles Cantoni and Stephen Ball who are in the same department were also recommended for their work.
The personal injury team also received excellent praise with the team being rated ‘second-to-none’ and said to produce ‘excellent work’. Damian Horan was highlighted as having ‘experience of litigation at every level’, and Ciaran McCabe was ‘one to watch’ as he ‘punches well above his weight’.
The clinical negligence department’s expertise saw Moore Blatch ranked as a top tier firm, with Tim Spring and the work completed by the team being recommended.
