I specialise in regulatory law, defending companies and individuals facing charges relating to corporate crime and professional misconduct, health & safety, environmental and transport.
Many of my clients are companies and individual directors charged with serious health & safety, environment, or other regulatory offences. On discovery of the incident, clients will suddenly find themselves facing a very complex and fast-moving situation. They need clear and practical legal advice as soon as possible, to clarify their position and to ensure they avoid saying or doing anything that might harm their case. We take control of the situation, establish the facts, deal with the relevant authorities and ensure our client receives the strongest possible defence.
My transport clients are usually haulage companies and directors facing prosecution for offences relating to the operation of heavy goods vehicles. They need clear advice on the best course of action and robust representation throughout. I am recognised as a leader in the field of transport law by the independent legal directory, Chambers UK. As such, clients can be confident that their defence is in good hands.
I also handle road traffic cases, representing drivers facing prosecution for all types of offence, from speeding right up to causing death by careless or dangerous driving. Our clients want the best possible defence – and that’s exactly what we deliver. We also help them understand how to handle themselves through the investigation and court case.
Whatever their situation, my clients can be assured of the strongest possible defence, based on my expertise and many years of practical experience in these areas of the law.
I was formerly the managing partner for Moore Blatch 2005 - 2017.
I am also a member of the Law Society’s Personal Injury panel and have a particular specialism in acting for clients who have suffered brain damage as a result of an accident.
