I am a partner in the firm’s clinical negligence team, specialising in complex, high value claims relating to cases of negligence in medicine and surgery.
I have over 26 years as practising solicitor and have worked both in the UK and Australia.
I also have significant experience as an advocate, representing families at inquests in clinical negligence matters and after trauma accidents. I have been involved in high profile matters such as an inquiry into serious failings made by an NHS mental health team where a 44 year old woman committed suicide. I have also featured in the media (both press and broadcast, including the BBC). Most people are unaware of what an inquest involves and therefore I have written a useful guide that covers most of the frequently asked questions. This guide can be viewed here.
My clients want guidance, support and reassurance during what can be a very challenging time. They want to know how the law can help them get appropriate compensation to secure their future, and make sure that lessons are learned.
I work closely with my clients at all stages of the process, to make sure they understand what is involved and how we are pursuing their claim. They expect me, as a partner, to be involved in all aspects of the work, and to be available to answer their questions and concerns. My priority is for clients to have the reassurance of knowing I am bringing all my legal skills and considerable experience to help them achieve the best possible outcome.
