I qualified as a solicitor in 2006 and specialise in agricultural property matters. I left full time practice in 2013 to pursue my own business as a personal trainer and nutritional therapist. I am continuing to practice as an agricultural solicitor on a part time consultancy basis whilst undertaking my MSc in Personalised Nutrition which will complete in 2018.
My clients all own farmland or farm land as tenants. My clients are generally individuals who run their own farming businesses; their property transactions can often contain complicated elements that need clear explanation and a practical approach to enable desired transactions to proceed. I advise my clients on all agricultural property aspects of their transactions to help them get their deals to completion in a timely manner.
I have 10 years experience acting for the farming community in a whole range of matters affecting land all over England and Wales including substantial agricultural estate sales and purchases and Agricultural Holdings Act succession claims.
Whilst in full time practice I was ranked in the 2013 Chambers and Partners legal directory as an ‘Associate to Watch’ and, in 2010, as an Assistant Solicitor I was placed third in The Lawyer’s Assistant Solicitor of the Year award. Clients interviewed by Chambers and Partners described me as “approachable and a pleasure to work with” and The Lawyer concluded that I was “a force of nature”.
Outside of work I juggle MSc studies around a family life with my husband and young son to whom I feed many of my extremely healthy nutritional concoctions - luckily my boys are not fussy so willingly eat all my experiments and provide feedback!
