I graduated with an LL.B. with Economics (Honours) from the University of Aberdeen and completed the Legal Practice Course at BPP University. I joined Moore Blatch in 2016, having obtained three years’ experience in assisting lenders, companies and private individuals with their commercial litigation, property disputes and conveyancing matters. During my studies I also gained international experience whilst working for multi-jurisdictional clients in Bulgaria.
My clients, who are typically companies or landlords, mainly come to me to help them with debt recovery. This often involves tracing the debtor and deciding what the best enforcement option would be. They tell me that they are looking for efficiency and clarity and their objective is to recover their debt as soon as possible. I help them with sending a letter before action to the debtor, which usually settles the debt, or issuing court proceedings.
My current role entails instructing tracing agents and negotiating settlement plans with the debtors. I liaise with the courts and ensure that my clients have the necessary information to decide how to progress their debt recovery. In particular, I have experience in relation to asset recovery on behalf of lenders, including enforcing EU charging orders in the UK.
I like spending time outdoors, playing capoeira (Brazilian martial art) or exercising at the gym.
