- Mental Capacity
I qualified as a solicitor in 2012 specialising in community care and mental capacity matters. I joined Moore Blatch in May 2017 as part of the community care team.
I act for clients seeking the right care package whether that is from the NHS or from the local authority.
This can mean acting for the individual themselves or acting for a parent or carer.
I advise and represent families who require assistance for loved ones in all aspects of Continuing Healthcare claims. This can be from the initial application up to representation at MDTs and local appeals.
I also provide assistance with the provision of care packages from the NHS either directly sourced or via a Personal Health Budget.
Care can also be provided by the Local Authority through the Care Act 2014. I advise clients in this complex area of law over challenges to eligibility of services or its subsequent provision.
I also have considerable experience with mental capacity issues and in particular representation at the Court of Protection for health and welfare matters.
This can be with welfare declaration or Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards cases.
