Area of Expertise
- Rural and farming
- Wills, tax and trusts
I qualified as a solicitor in 2014 and chose to specialise in Private Client. Following this date, I have gained experience in a wide range of private client work, from supervising a trust portfolio to administering estates. Through this period, I have developed a keen interest in wills, tax & trusts and took the opportunity to join Moore Blatch in 2017 to develop my skills in this area.
I pride myself on my empathetic approach to each client and the particular issues that concern them, which allows me to fully understand their position and therefore tailor my advice accordingly. I enjoy solving their problems, giving them confidence that only my concern is representing their best interests. My clients value my honest and open approach, as I treat each and every client with the respect and integrity that I too would expect.
I am experienced in basic to more complex will drafting, for example advising on the inclusion of trust arrangements and dealing with asset protection. I will be expanding my skills to encompass more detailed succession planning to allow clients to achieve their chosen family objectives. I am also accustomed to acting for both lay and professional trustees in respect of various types of trusts.
I will be developing a particular expertise in acting for clients in respect of the tax efficient ownership of agricultural, business and heritage property.
I have a large amount of experience in acting in estate administration and advising on both creation of Lasting Powers of Attorney and management of financial affairs for elderly clients.
I am an accomplished violinist and currently enjoy performing with various orchestras and theatre groups across Dorset. I enjoy all sports, in particular squash, badminton and football, also enjoying long walks in the countryside with my wife.
